Gran Canaria´s largest annual Folk Festival starts on September 7th in the town of Teror, just 14 kilometers outside Las Palmas. It celebrates The Virgin of the pine, Patron Saint of Gran Canaria.
The festival features more than 100 arrangements - from Religious Ceremonies, Crafts Fairs, Processions, Parades, Folk Dances, Concerts, Football Tournaments and Car Rallies to the famous Pilgrim Journey on September 7th (Romería de la Virgen del Pino) attended by more than 50 000 people coming from all over the island.
Getting to Teror is easy: Global is setting up more than
300 buses running all day with frequent departures from all over the
island.
